Art has always been a part of my life. However, now that I have more time  I find myself drawn back to it with passion. The journey has been interesting and led me in various directions and discovering new mediums.

Over recent years I have participated in various classes and workshops working with watercolours, oils and acrylics. I found that I was particularly passionate about including animals, which led to workshops in charcoal and the use of graphite in animal portraits. Following this, I went on to discover pastels and how they enable me to capture the texture and colours of animals.

I have participated in SALA (South Australia Living Artists) events since 2014, as well as entries in Community Art Exhibitions, Rotary Art Shows as well as several solo exhibitions.

A particular honour was being awarded the People’s Choice award for my entry in the Pastel Artists of SA exhibition in McLaren Vale.

I strive to continually learn and grow as an artist. To achieve this, I attend as many workshops and classes as possible, learning more about various mediums and what can be achieved with them.
